Canine ReproVet
About us

Canine reproduction, explained with scientific rigour.

Canine ReproVet Knowledge™ exists to make the science of canine reproduction usable, cited, versioned and verifiable — in a format that fits the working day of the people who practise it.

Vision

Build the world standard for canine-reproduction knowledge.

One platform, open to scientific debate, where every claim is traceable to its source. A reference for the seasoned clinician and the first-year student alike.

Mission

Close the gap between the literature and daily practice.

We synthesise the peer-reviewed literature into knowledge units — SKOs — designed for the clinic, the lecture hall, and the kennel. With Helix™ as the scientific assistant, always grounded in the sources.

Scientific method

Source first. Synthesis second. Voice third.

Our editorial pipeline is public: every topic starts from a clinical question, is grounded in peer-reviewed literature, is reviewed by a second veterinarian and is versioned over time. The platform itself is engineered to be updated, not just "written once".

Step 1

Research & scoping

A repro-specialist veterinarian selects a topic and frames the clinical question. Everything starts from practice, not theory.

Step 2

Source curation

We only source indexed peer-reviewed publications, recognised society guidelines, and studies with transparent methodology.

Step 3

Synthesis into SKOs

Every finding becomes a Scientific Knowledge Object: atomic, cited, versioned. No synthesis without a source.

Step 4

Peer review

A second repro-specialist reviews the object. When legitimate disagreement exists, it's published as such.

Step 5

Continuous update

Every SKO carries a last-reviewed date. New evidence produces new versions. Historical versions stay traceable.

Evidence policy

Every claim carries its own level of evidence.

We do not treat all information equally. Every SKO explicitly states the strength of evidence behind it, so the reader can weight their clinical judgment in real time.

HIGH

High evidence

Convergent consensus from meta-analyses or well-conducted RCTs. Guidelines from recognised societies.

MOD

Moderate evidence

Consistent observational studies, structured clinical experience. Convergence across independent sources.

LOW

Low evidence

Limited case series or active expert disagreement. Explicitly flagged.

Helix\u2122 · Philosophy

AI must not invent. It must recall, cite, and know when to stop.

Helix answers only from validated SKOs on the platform. Outside our domain it refuses. Every sentence is cited. When the evidence level is low, it says so.

Grounded

Answers are extracted from validated SKOs only. No free-form generation.

Always cited

Every claim carries its source, evidence level, and SKO version.

Knows when to say no

Outside the canine-reproduction domain, Helix refuses to answer. It prefers silence to error.

Eight study modes

From "explain to a student" to "clinical differential": each mode shapes the answer to the use case.

Why only canine reproduction

We chose depth over breadth.

Helix is deliberately vertical. We do not want to be a veterinary Wikipedia, nor a veterinary ChatGPT. We want to be the best source in the world on a single, well-defined domain: canine reproduction.

One domain

Canine reproduction only. No drift into species, disciplines or problems we do not know deeply enough to answer well.

Real depth

A catalogue built like a specialisation, not like a collection. Every SKO knows its context, its limits, its source.

Honest about limits

Outside our domain, Helix stops. No plausible-sounding answer to questions we do not own — and that is our strength, not our weakness.

Why Canine ReproVet

In one line: because it was missing.

There is no single global reference platform dedicated to canine reproduction, with verified versioned content and an AI that will not hallucinate. We're building it, without shortcuts.

One deep domain

Not a general aggregator. Only canine reproduction, curated as a discipline.

Bilingual by design

Every SKO is bilingual (EN + IT) at authoring time. New languages arrive with the platform's maturity.

Living, not frozen

Knowledge evolves. Every SKO has a version and a review date, visible.

Not a substitute for clinical judgment

Canine ReproVet Knowledge™ is an educational and scientific-reference tool. It does not replace veterinary examination, diagnosis or treatment.
